From Pastor Gary…
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. (Philippians 4:4)
We all possess a range of emotions. Some things make us happy while others make us sad. Things that happen could cause fear or anger or anxiety. We experience pain and suffering. But Paul exhorts us to always rejoice, and we can because rejoicing is not found in our circumstances. Our inner joy is a result of what God has done for us through Christ.
The current situation of your life may seem dismal, but we can “Rejoice in the Lord”.
Rejoice; God loves you.
Rejoice; He sent His Son Jesus to die for your sins.
Rejoice; Jesus rose from the dead so you may have eternal life.
Rejoice; Jesus ascended into heaven and will one day return to take you there with Him.
Rejoice; for faith to know, believe, and trust the work Christ did for your salvation.
We certainly do have reason to rejoice.
Verse for today:
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (Romans 12:12)
