He that believes and is baptized will be saved. (Mark 16:16)
You may have heard it said, “Talk is cheap.” It is easy to make promises, but not always so easy to keep them. Not so with God. His Word is true, and his promises are always fulfilled. God promised a Savior to Adam and Eve after their fall in the garden. This was fulfilled through Jesus. If God is willing to sacrifice His only Son on our behalf, is there any promise He will not keep?
Dig into your Bible and read about the promises God made and kept to Noah, Abraham, David, and others. Likewise, God will keep what He promises to you. For example, you can trust He will never leave or forsake you, that nothing can separate you from His love, and that He hears your prayers. You can trust, “He that believes and is baptized will be saved.”
God keeps His promises. You can trust Him at His word. What a comfort that is as we live our lives in this world. How comforting this is as we look to eternity.
Verse for today:
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
